White Face Gauge Overlay
Install Instructions

Tools required:
1. Standard screwdrivers
2. Application Fluid -  Any
pump spray bottle full of
water and mixed with a
few drops of dish soap
works too.  (recommended)
3. Black permanent marker
or Black automotive touch
up paint for the gauge
needles (Optional).

Speedometer Overlays

1. Place the speedometer on
a flat surface face down.
Using a flat head screwdriver,
un-crimp the bezel at the 4
edges of the gauge housing
until the lens face can be
removed.

2. With a flat screwdriver,
unscrew the 2 screws at the
base of the speedometer cable
hub and slide the assembly
out of the housing. This will
expose the temperature and
fuel gauge faces.


3. Before installing the
overlays on the faces, use a
black permanent marker to
color the pointers. Let dry.


4. 3. Thoroughly clean all
faces carefully and removing
any surface bumps from dirt
and fingerprints.


5. To apply the smaller
gauges take one and remove the
backing. Lightly mist the face
with an application fluid
(mentioned in the tools
required section). Slip the
needle through the overlay hole
and align it to the face. Once
aligned use your fingers to
squeegee out any air pockets.


6. To apply the large
speedometer overlay start by
removing the backing. Lightly
mist the face with an
application fluid (mentioned
in the tools required section). 




7. Move the needle to
point at the top and slip the
overlay downward, while guiding
the needle through the overlay
hole and align it to the face.
The application fluid will aid
in maneuvering the overlay to
correct position.



7. The alignment of the
overlay is obtained when all
the blinker lenses and needle
stops have protruded through
their corresponding holes.
Once aligned use your fingers
to squeegee out any air pockets.

  
Gauge Removal:
1. Disconnect the negative
battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the speedo
cable from the back of
the speedometer.
3. Remove the attaching
nuts and the electrical
connections for each
instrument according to
your specific year and
model maintenance manual.
















Tachometer Overlays

1. Placing the gauge on a
flat surface face down. Using
a flat head screwdriver and
twisting motion, un-crimp the
bezel on the edges of the
gauge housing until the lens
face can be removed.

2. Before installing the
overlay on the face, use a
black permanent marker to
color the pointers. Let dry.

3. Lightly mist the face
with application fluid. Move
the needle to point at the top
and slip overlay downward,
while guiding the needle
through the overlay hole and
over the needle stop.Once
aligned use your fingers to
squeegee out any air pockets.



Oil and Volt Overlays

1. Place the gauges on a
flat surface face down. Using
a flat head screwdriver and
twisting motion, un-crimp the
bezel on the edges of the
gauges housing until the lens
face can be removed.




2. Before installing the
overlay on the face, use a
black permanent marker to
color the pointers. Let dry.

4. Thoroughly clean all
surfaces and remove any
surface bumps from dirt and
fingerprints.




5. Lightly mist each of
the faces and bezels with
application fluid and apply
them. Once aligned, use your
fingers to squeegee out any
air pockets.










Clock Overlay

1. Place the clock on a flat
surface face down. Using a
flat screwdriver and twisting
motion, un-crimp the bezel on
the edges of the clock housing
until the lens face can be
removed.


2. Remove the clock hands
and set knob by pulling
straight off and away from
face.


3. Before installing the
overlay on the face, use a
black permanent marker to
color the pointers. Let dry.


4. Thoroughly clean all
surfaces and remove any
surface bumps from dirt and
fingerprints.


5. Lightly mist the face
with application fluid and
apply the overlay. Since the
clock face is beveled, slide
the number 6 digit together
with your fingers to get the
overlay to lay on to the face
correctly. Once aligned, use
your fingers to squeegee out
any air pockets.
