White Face Gauge Overlay
Install Instructions

Tools required:
1. Standard screwdrivers
2. Needle nose pliers
3. Permanent black marker
4. Bottle rubber cement




1. Remove the warning light
panel/fascia above the
steering column.
- Start with the top center
screw and remove panel.
- Unscrew the remaining 4
screws and remove the shroud.




2. Remove the tach and
speedometer gauges from the
dash.
- Unscrew the mounting screws.
- Unplug the tach wiring
harness.
- Unplug the speedometer bulbs
and release the speedometer
cable.


3. Remove the gauge cluster
shroud. (6 screws)





4. Remove the gauge cluster
clear lens.
- Remove the black gauge bezel.
- Remove cluster from the dash
if you find it easier to
install the overlays.(optional)




5. Place the tach and
speedometer on a flat surface
face down. Using a flat head
screwdriver and needle nose
pliers, twist along the bezel
edges of the gauge housing.
Work your way around until
the lens face can be removed.

  
General notes:
1. Pointers are NOT removed.
2. Pointers will return to
   normal positions when
   engine is started.
3. Remove "NEGATIVE" battery
   terminal.











     
6. Remove the two small
screws on each side of
the pointer on all gauges.

7. Thoroughly clean all
faces carefully and remove
any surface bumps from dirt
and fingerprints.

8. Before installing
the overlays on the faces,
use a black permanent
marker to color the
pointers. Let dry.

9. To apply the overlay
gauges take one and remove
the backing. Lightly mist
the face with an application
fluid (mentioned in the
tools required section).
Slip the needle through the
overlay hole and align it to
the face. Once aligned use
your fingers to squeegee out
any air pockets.

10. Install the small
screws that hold the
overlays into place.
- Install gauge covers back
on using needle nose pliers.
- Be sure the trip plunger
lines up correctly.
- Good time to repaint gauge
housing.


11. Assemble the dash
by reversing steps 1 to 5.


Tips:

1. Move tach & speedometer
needles to the 5 o’clock
position when installing the
overlays.

2. Move the instrument
needles to the 1 o’clock
position when installing the
overlays.

3. Clean the instruments
clear lenses with plastic
polish to restore their
clarity.

4. Replace instruments
back lighting with red or
blue accent bulbs. These are
easily found at most any
auto stores.
