Application Instructions
1. Remove the windshield tie down hoop from
your hood.
2. Use one of the cleaning solutions list on
the left to clean the surface of the hood to remove
any elements that might prevent the vinyl from
adhering properly. This will also remove any bug or
tar chunks that might get trapped under the decal.
3. With a tape measure, mark the center of
your hood from each hood hinge. Then run your tape
measure down the hood aligning it with the center
of the grill and mark the center.
4. Place the body of the decal on the
center line and tape the edges of the decal in
place so it can not move. Align and tape down the
pinchers evenly.
5. Lift up only half of each decal from the
hood at one time. Cut half of the backing
off with scissors. Spray the surface with
application fluid and apply that half to the
vehicle. Lift up the remaining side and do the
same. Use a squeegee to remove any air or
fluid under the lettering and peel off the top
transfer tape. Repeat on all 3 pieces.
6. Dry the hood off. Reinstall the windshield
tie down hoop. Apply some wax to the surface and
surrounding areas to help seal in the decal.
